My RЯL’s are hitting the two month mark soon. I purchased the Slim Rigid pair from Context Clothing in Madison, Wisconsin on September 1st 2011. With November 1st on the horizon, I got impatient and felt the need to photograph their progress. I think I’ll do progress posts in two month intervals. Next photo spread coming January 1st, 2012.
Charles and Ray Eames are my favorite furniture designers. This Husband and Wife duo created some of the most iconic furniture pieces ever during the post WWII era that are still influencing design today. HKDI Gallery recently held a show honoring the couples life and work.
The husband and wife duo of Charles and Ray Eames have had an enormous impact on modern architecture and furniture designs in the 20th Century. Through all of their designs, one can see features such as shapes, comfortability and durability that stand the test of time. Nearly half a century later, their creations are still seen as cutting edge, avant-guarde, and experimental. Actor James Franco is narrating the upcoming documentary, “EAMES: The Architect & The Painter”.
